sweaty pits!

So, I have just been reading my buddy, Dan Cliffords blogspot as I do most mornings, when I figured I ought to write something myself. I don't have much to say right now but normally I have too many opinions on pointless and meaningless questions that wont affect our lives in anyway yet I love to shoot the crap on them. Hey, this is my blogspot and I retain the right to be a a-hole if necssary.

I suppose the real question with 'bloggin' is "will I keep it up?". Who knows? I'll have to create an entry in my calendar to remind me to do so on a regular basis. I'll start with best intentions, add some photos and litte anecdotes about my journey, what I'm doing living in the US when I am Somerset boy born and bred, rant about English rugby and why the hell Brian Ashton is picking that feckin muppet Balshaw at fullback over Lewsy, Tait or my grandam and anything else that springs eternal in my cererbal cortex (not sure what that is by the way, I read it once and am hoping desperately its something to do with my brain, or lack there of)

So whats with 'dem little wheels'? Well as an introduction to me and probably a fairly accurate assessment of my life in general, is that I have a bit of an obsession with things on two wheels, namely BMX. But I love mountainbikes, I love motocross and the almost etheral beauty of a road bike gliding along gives me just as much a kick as launching a set of doubles at my local bmx track in Virginia (www.novabmx.org). Its not entirely my fault, the wheeled obsession that is (I do accept responsibility for most other things in life though). My Grandma, Nanny Howley as she was known, bought me a Larry the Lamb tricycle when I was a couple of years old and I feel like I have been on a bike ever since.

Ok, I better do some work. This is my first post ever, I am a techno moron so dont expect wonders and I'll give a nod to my beautiful wife, who although still full of flu, is the real love of my life, just in case people think the bikes are more important than her.... as if :)

Cheers, Hoppy
